About the job
The University Clinic for Dermatology at the Inselspital Bern covers the entire spectrum of dermatology, combining university-level top medicine with research and teaching. As part of the largest university hospital in Switzerland, we treat patients from all over the country – from everyday skin conditions to complex specialised cases. Behind every well-functioning clinic is a strong administration – with us, you ensure that the clinic director and senior physicians can focus on treating our patients and on scientific activities. To strengthen our team, we are looking for an Assistant to the Clinic Director to start immediately or by arrangement.
What to expect
- You are the hub for the clinic director and the senior physicians of the department – in clinic, research, and teaching
- You plan and coordinate appointments and keep an overview even in hectic moments
- You handle correspondence in German and English (French is a plus)
- You provide administrative support to the senior physicians and take on tasks in the medical secretariat as needed
- You participate in personnel and financial tasks (Insel Group and University of Bern) and grow into exciting processes
- You contribute to internal clinic projects – with plenty of scope to simplify and digitalise processes
- You take on general secretarial duties such as minute-taking and procurement
What you bring
- Completed training as a commercial clerk EFZ, medical secretary, or medical practice assistant (MPA) with several years of professional experience
- A dynamic, independent, and flexible personality with enthusiasm for tackling tasks
- Organisational and communication talent as well as confident use of digital tools and Office programmes (especially Word and Excel)
- Very good German and good English skills (written and spoken), French skills are a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology or the systems of the University of Bern is a plus – everything else you will learn with us
