Secure and highly available networks are a crucial success factor for digital companies. We are looking for an experienced network specialist who designs, optimises, and helps shape the next generation of modern network architectures in demanding Cisco and Fortinet environments.
Responsibilities:
Responsibility for engineering and further development of complex network platforms
Design and implementation of modern LAN, WAN, and security architectures
Support of Cisco infrastructures as well as Fortinet firewall and security systems
Development and implementation of solutions for network stability, performance, and security
Conducting technical analyses of complex incidents and sustainable problem resolution
Participation in projects related to network modernisation, cloud connectivity, and security transformation
Implementation of zero-trust approaches, network segmentation, and modern access concepts
Optimisation of firewall rule sets, VPN connections, and security policies
Automation of network processes using modern engineering methods
Collaboration with internal teams, manufacturers, and external specialists
Qualifications:
Several years of professional experience in network engineering or network security environments
Very good knowledge of Cisco enterprise networking
Solid experience with Fortinet products and firewall management
Deep understanding of network architectures, routing, switching, and security
Experience with VPN, NAC, SD-WAN, or cloud networks is an advantage
Knowledge of network automation with Python, Ansible, or comparable tools is welcome
Analytical skills and enjoyment of complex technical challenges
Independent and responsible working style
Interest in current developments such as software-defined networking, cloud security, and zero trust architecture
