As a crane operator, you hold a strategic position where your overview and calmness are essential to the success of projects. You will work in a structured professional environment, equipped with a fleet of modern and efficient cranes, within teams that prioritise trust and communication.
Your main tasks:
- Operation and handling: Ensure the operation of tower cranes (with distributive or luffing jib) controlled from the cabin or remotely from the ground.
- Precision lifting: Carry out the movement and placement of various loads (formwork, reinforcements, prefabricated elements, concrete buckets) in close coordination with team leaders.
- Site safety: Ensure strict compliance with maximum loads, operating radii, and safety procedures to protect ground workers and surrounding infrastructure.
- Maintenance and inspection: Perform daily safety checks (brakes, end stops, wiring) and ensure the crane is secured (weathervaned) at the end of the day.
- Communication: Maintain constant and clear radio communication with slingers and site personnel.
Qualifications
Your profile:
- Certification: Mandatory possession of a valid Category B crane operator licence (Suva).
- Experience: Proven experience on Swiss construction sites, with excellent ability to assess distances and weights.
- Personal qualities: You have excellent stress resistance, strong concentration, and no fear of heights. Your sense of responsibility is impeccable.
- Technical skills: Good knowledge of site signalling rules and slinging techniques. Proficiency in French is essential for radio communication.
- Availability: Ready to adapt to site schedules and weather conditions.
