Role:
On behalf of our client, we are looking for an ambitious professional as a Junior Site Manager in Building Construction who wants to take the next career step from a craft or technical basic training into site management. Under the guidance of an experienced project manager, you will gradually take over the independent supervision of building, conversion, and extension projects and coordinate the companies involved on site. In doing so, you will develop sound knowledge in scheduling, cost control, quality assurance, and occupational safety. This position is particularly suitable for experienced professionals from the construction or building technology sector who want to specifically develop towards site management and project management.
Responsibilities:
Gradual assumption of independent site management of building, conversion, and extension projects
Organisation and coordination of site processes under the supervision of an experienced project manager
Leadership and coordination of contractors, craft businesses, and suppliers
Monitoring of deadlines, costs, and execution quality on assigned construction sites
Conducting regular site inspections and documenting construction progress
Support with construction meetings, scheduling, action lists, and site protocols
Checking completed work against plans, contracts, and quality requirements
Ensuring occupational safety, site order, and SUVA regulations
Assisting with the review of quantities, time reports, change orders, and contractor invoices
Coordination of interfaces between shell construction, finishing, and building technology
Participation in acceptances, defect recording, and defect rectification
Application and gradual deepening of relevant SIA standards and Swiss construction processes
Qualifications:
Completed vocational training with EFZ, for example as a bricklayer, carpenter, electrician, building technician, or architectural draughtsperson EFZ
Several years of practical professional experience in main construction, finishing, or building technology trades
Interest in further development towards site management, for example with further education at HF/HFP level
Technical understanding of building construction, construction processes, and cross-trade interfaces
Good user knowledge of Microsoft 365 and willingness to learn construction administration software
Basic knowledge of SIA standards and occupational safety regulations is an advantage
Very good German language skills spoken and written
