Modern Workplace Engineer (m/f/d)
Our ROCKEN partner is a globally active company in packaging technology based in Aargau and offers customised complete solutions for end packaging and transport security.
Role:
A stable IT infrastructure usually only becomes noticeable when it is missing. This is exactly what you ensure as a Modern Workplace Engineer while simultaneously advancing the system landscape technologically. Your focus is on Azure and Microsoft 365 (M365), complemented by servers, network and security. With PowerShell you create standards and thus free up space for new projects. Departments appreciate you as a sparring partner who listens and finds pragmatic solutions.
Responsibilities:
You operate and optimise the entire system landscape, from virtualisation and servers to network and security.
You actively drive the expansion of the cloud environment around Microsoft 365 and Azure.
In addition, you design contemporary workplace solutions and implement modern endpoint management.
You automate IT processes, standardise workflows and document systems and solutions comprehensibly.
Furthermore, you provide 2nd and 3rd level support. Here you get to the bottom of faults and resolve them permanently.
You also strengthen monitoring, backup and compliance and contribute your know-how to digitalisation projects and the consulting of departments.
Qualifications:
A computer science degree with further education at FH or HF level forms your professional basis.
You have several years of experience in engineering and operating IT infrastructures.
You bring sound knowledge of the Microsoft cloud and Windows Server. Practical experience with Microsoft’s cloud platform is a plus.
Furthermore, you ideally have knowledge of networking, virtualisation and IT security and write scripts without hesitation. Business Continuity Management (BCM) and new cloud topics interest you.
You communicate confidently in German and are also comfortable in English conversations and documentation.
In addition, you work in a structured and solution-oriented manner, enjoy learning and engage with internal customers on an equal footing. Initiative and a sense of responsibility are natural to you.
