Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for a committed professional for project architecture and execution planning of demanding residential construction projects in the Zurich area. You will be involved in the realisation of a large-scale residential development focusing on the conversion, extension, and addition of existing buildings and will accompany the construction project from SIA phase 41 tendering onwards. The focus is on the preparation of precise execution and detail plans, coordination with specialist planners and authorities, as well as technical coordination with contractors. The position offers both experienced project architects and professionals with development potential the opportunity to deepen their skills in execution planning, existing building development, and constructive project work.

Responsibilities:

• Participation in the planning and realisation of a demanding residential development focusing on conversion, extension, and addition of existing buildings

• Preparation and further development of execution, working, and detail plans according to the requirements of SIA phases 41 to 53

• Constructive elaboration of architectural designs considering materialisation, building physics, structural engineering, and technical feasibility

• Planning work on conversions and additions in existing buildings including connection details, interfaces with existing structures, and constructive transitions

• Coordination of specialist planning in collaboration with structural engineering, building services, building physics, and other special disciplines

• Coordination with authorities and approval bodies to clarify building law requirements, conditions, and project-specific execution questions

• Support in tenders and submissions including technical specifications, plan attachments, and material clarifications

• Preparation of construction and execution details for building envelopes, façades, roof structures, interior fittings, and connections to existing components

• Review and coordination of contractor and specialist planner documents to ensure a consistent and executable overall plan

• Handling technical issues during construction in coordination with site management, specialist planners, and contractors

• Participation in planning and coordination meetings including follow-up on pending issues, plan revisions, and technical documentation

• Ensuring planning quality and updating project documents considering SIA standards, execution standards, and existing building conditions

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture degree FH/ETH or a comparable recognised qualification in architecture

• Experience in project planning and execution planning of building construction projects or strong interest in further developing in constructive planning and realisation

• Knowledge in creating execution, working, and detail plans as well as understanding of building construction, materialisation, and technical interfaces

• Interest in conversion, renovation, and addition projects as well as in the architectural and constructive development of existing building fabric

• Basic knowledge of Swiss SIA planning phases and relevant building regulations as well as willingness to deepen knowledge of tendering and execution processes

• Confident use of common CAD and architectural planning software as well as experience in coordinating digital plan documents

• Good German language skills in spoken and written form for communication with authorities, specialist planners, and contractors as well as independent handling of technical project documents
