Around 700 employees from engineering, product management, manufacturing, logistics, sales, and services work closely together here: engineers continuously develop new solutions, while the production and logistics teams ensure that the sensors arrive at customers on time and in Baumer quality.

To strengthen our IT team, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced leader as Team Leader IT Infrastructure. In this exciting role, you will take on strategic and operational responsibility for our IT infrastructure while actively contributing your technical expertise in day-to-day business. You will shape the digital future of our industrial company and ensure a secure, stable, and modern IT operation.

What I drive

• Leadership and further development of the IT infrastructure team (approx. 12 employees)
• Strategic and operational responsibility for operations, projects, and budget
• Ensuring availability, scalability, and IT security
• Definition and implementation of the security strategy including ISMS & compliance
• Security monitoring, incident response, and awareness raising
• Technology evaluation as well as maintenance of policies, processes, and documentation
• Interface to specialist departments and external partners

What it takes

• Completed education in computer science (HF/FH) or comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in IT infrastructure and system administration as well as experience from an industrial environment (manufacturing operation)
• Several years of leadership experience
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft technologies, virtualisation, networks
• Analytical thinking, structured working method, high personal responsibility
• German and English skills, spoken and written
