Role:
A cloud platform is only as strong as its foundation. You lay exactly this foundation as a Cloud Specialist Microsoft Azure and shape the entire Microsoft Azure landscape with clear standards for network, identity, and security. Instead of just processing tickets, you make architectural decisions and justify them technically. In critical disruptions, you keep an overview and lead the analysis. Those who see Infrastructure as Code as a given will find plenty of room for creativity here.
Responsibilities:
You design Azure Landing Zones including governance, management, and security structures and define standards for subscriptions and resource groups.
Complex network architectures with peering, firewalling, VPN, and private endpoints are your responsibility.
Furthermore, you develop access concepts around RBAC, enterprise applications, and Microsoft Entra ID.
You automate deployments with Bicep, Terraform, and PowerShell, creating repeatable processes.
Additionally, you handle backup, high availability, and disaster recovery architectures as well as alerting concepts with Log Analytics.
You also take technical leadership in complex cloud incidents and drive Windows 365 as well as Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) forward.
Qualifications:
You have several years of solid practical experience in Azure Cloud and Microsoft Infrastructure Engineering.
You know Azure Compute, Storage, Networking, and Security Services in depth.
You are equally proficient in routing, private DNS, and virtual networks as well as managed identities and app registrations.
Moreover, you write sophisticated scripts in PowerShell and routinely use Infrastructure as Code with Bicep or Terraform.
You have experience with Azure Monitor, cloud observability, as well as recovery and high availability concepts.
You are also familiar with Windows Server and hybrid environments and derive well-founded architectural decisions from dependencies up to Microsoft 365.
