Role:
Network security is decided in operation, not just in concept. As a Firewall Engineer, you build security and network infrastructures for various clients and continuously develop them. Firewalls, LAN/WAN/WLAN and monitoring are part of your daily routine. You can expect an environment where you can gradually specialise in cybersecurity.
Responsibilities:
You operate and expand security and network environments for different client systems.
You analyse and resolve disruptions in 1st and 2nd level support in a targeted manner.
You carry out adjustments, upgrades, and lifecycle activities via change management.
Furthermore, you continuously optimise and automate existing services.
You maintain and continuously improve operational documentation and processes.
You also participate in the on-call organisation and maintain communication with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
Qualifications:
You have completed IT training or hold a comparable qualification.
You have at least three years of professional experience in security and network technology.
You are confident in administering FortiGate or comparable enterprise firewalls.
You are familiar with the operation and monitoring of network infrastructures as well as common monitoring tools.
Experience from projects and ITIL knowledge in incident and change processes complete your profile.
Additionally, you communicate fluently in German, are confident in English, and work analytically and solution-oriented.
