Your working environment
The Cantonal Tax Office (KStA) is responsible for the enforcement of cantonal and federal tax laws. The municipalities assess and collect the taxes of natural persons; the KStA performs the supervisory function in this regard. All other types of taxes are assessed and collected by the KStA itself. Furthermore, the KStA prepares the basis for financial planning and tax policy on behalf of the government council. Our approximately 710,000 inhabitants and the 198 municipal administrations expect qualified services from us every day.
