About the job
Workload: 60-100%, Baden, limited to 6 months
In the Digital Construction internship at Axpo Grid, you apply Building Information Modelling (BIM) in the energy sector and integrate digital models directly into real infrastructure projects.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Development of digital 3D models of energy infrastructures: You convert point cloud data into precise BIM models of substations, overhead lines and their components in Revit and/or Inventor.
Enabling digital construction sites: You create and update digital construction packages in the openBIM format so that models, plans and technical information can be reliably used on site.
Actively shaping standards: You further develop object libraries, modelling guidelines and digital process standards.
Experience engineering in practice: You work on real infrastructure projects and coordinate with planners, engineering teams and subcontractors.
Ensuring quality and progress: You conduct model checks, analyse data and workflows, and derive improvements for future projects.
Making knowledge sustainably available: You document technical workflows, verification steps and lessons learned for cross-project reuse.
Profile & Requirements
You are completing training or studies in civil engineering, architecture, mechanical engineering, geodesy or a related field and are in the final semester of your bachelor’s or master’s degree or have recently completed it.
You have a strong interest in Digital Construction, the BIM method and working with point cloud data.
You bring practical experience with Revit or Inventor; knowledge of other Autodesk tools is an advantage.
You enjoy writing clear, structured guidelines and process descriptions and are interested in process development and continuous improvement.
You work independently, analytically and as part of a team.
You have very good German skills in spoken and written form as well as good English skills, and you hold a valid work permit for Switzerland or the EU. Even if you do not meet all points, we look forward to your application.
