Network & Security Engineer (m/f/d)

The IT department at our partner consists of application development and system technology. Around 30 dedicated employees work in both areas. The goal is to provide high-quality services for the members, customers, and sister companies (national and international) of our partner. To meet this task in the future, the system landscape is continuously changed and adapted to the latest requirements. Additionally, a multi-year restructuring of the system architecture and the corresponding applications is underway.

Responsibilities:
Optimisation and management of the network and security infrastructure as well as ensuring its performance
Participation and leadership of infrastructure projects to improve the systems
Investigation and resolution of faults and issues to ensure smooth operations
Creation, updating, and maintenance of system documentation as well as taking on responsibility in other areas according to your skills and interests
Qualifications:
Completed training as an IT specialist with solid knowledge in networking (routing/switching) and security, especially in firewalls (Fortinet) and ideally experience with Fortimanager and FortiAnalyzer
Experience in cloud infrastructure (Azure), email (Exchange/O365) as well as system monitoring and automation
Comprehensive knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and basic knowledge of Linux (preferably RedHat)
Interest in further development with new technologies, analytical thinking, and the ability to work as a team player in the datacentre team
Very good German and English skills in spoken and written form
