Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced leader for construction management of demanding building, industrial and pharmaceutical projects. You will be responsible for coordinating project participants and managing costs, schedules, tenders, awards and execution through to successful completion. A particular focus is on technically demanding construction projects in the pharmaceutical and industrial environment as well as the independent assumption of overall and specialist construction management. You will consistently ensure compliance with quality requirements, building regulations and occupational safety.
Responsibilities:
Technical and organisational leadership of construction management as well as coordination of internal and external project participants
Management of demanding building, industrial and pharmaceutical projects through the relevant planning and implementation phases
Preparation and handling of tenders, submissions, awards and contracts including bid evaluation and award recommendations
Responsibility for project costs, cost control, forecasts and change order management as well as ongoing reporting
Creation, review and coordination of project, detailed and execution plans in building construction
Development of technical specifications and bills of quantities as well as coordination of requirements with architecture, specialist planning and engineering
Independent assumption of overall and specialist construction management including coordination of contractors and monitoring of construction progress
Ensuring compliance with Swiss building regulations, SIA standards and cantonal requirements, especially for projects in the canton of Valais
Definition and control of requirements for occupational safety, health protection and site organisation
Conducting and leading construction and coordination meetings as well as systematic follow-up of deadlines, pending issues and decisions
Support for acceptances, commissioning, defect rectification and project documentation through to handover to the client
Qualifications:
Technical or construction-related training as draftsman EFZ specialising in architecture, construction manager HF, technician HF, architect FH/ETH or civil engineer FH/ETH
At least 5 years of professional experience in construction management, site management or project management of demanding construction projects
Experience with pharmaceutical, industrial or infrastructure buildings, ideally in a technically regulated project environment
Sound knowledge of tendering, awarding, contract management, cost management and construction execution
Knowledge of building regulations in the canton of Valais, relevant SIA standards and Swiss occupational safety regulations
Very good German language skills spoken and written; English skills advantageous for international project environments
