Role:
You want to not only operate networks but actively develop them further and make them more efficient through automation? In this role, you work on complex infrastructures where stability, security, and availability must meet particularly high requirements. In addition to technical engineering, you also take responsibility in operations and share your knowledge with various internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
You design and implement complex L2/L3 network infrastructures.
You further develop existing network and operational concepts and contribute your technical experience to new solutions.
You develop and operate automation solutions for network environments.
You analyse disruptions during ongoing operations and find sustainable solutions.
You support reliable operations outside regular working hours in the 7x24 on-call service.
You convey your expertise in training sessions to internal staff, operations, field support, and customers.
You collaborate with various technical teams and support the continuous optimisation of the network infrastructure.
Qualifications:
You have a qualification as an IT specialist EFZ, further education at HF/FH level, or a comparable qualification.
You bring several years of practical experience in network engineering.
You have solid knowledge of WAN and LAN protocols.
You have experience in network automation and ideally have already worked with Python and Ansible.
You work independently, in a structured and solution-oriented manner.
You enjoy learning about new technologies and continuously expanding your know-how.
You are flexible, well organised, and service-oriented.
You enjoy working in a team and can communicate technical content clearly.
You communicate fluently in German and very well in English.
