Role:

Good infrastructure is created today in the repository and no longer in the console. In this position, as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you shape the architecture of an environment that ranges from on-premise through hybrid to the cloud. Your concepts for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) set the technical standard for the entire environment. You stay close to the technology and take responsibility when it becomes critical.

Responsibilities:

• You design highly available and scalable architectures across compute, storage, network, and virtualisation. You also plan backup and disaster recovery concepts for business-critical services.

• For provisioning and changes, you design modular Terraform structures as well as pipelines for Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) with automated tests.

• Furthermore, you develop configuration-as-code concepts and automate operational processes with Bash, Python, and PowerShell.

• You further develop the container platform around Kubernetes and define standards for observability, logging, and alerting.

• In addition, you embed security and compliance requirements including guardrails directly into the deployment process.

• You also lead the technical analysis of complex incidents, evaluate new technologies in proof of concepts, and drive standardisation forward.

Qualifications:

• You have many years of experience in DevOps, platform, or infrastructure engineering and are confident working in Linux and/or Windows environments.

• You master Terraform even in large architectures, including modules, providers, state handling, and automated workflows.

• You use Ansible proficiently for configuration management and automate confidently with Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

• Git-based workflows, infrastructure pipelines, and Docker are part of your daily routine. Experience with Kubernetes rounds off your profile.

• Additionally, you have solid networking knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, routing, firewalling, and load balancing as well as practical experience with virtualisation and hybrid architectures.

• You also think about security from the start, know secrets management and hardening, and keep track of dependencies across all technology layers.
