Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for a qualified professional for architectural planning, project design and realisation of demanding building projects in a versatile architectural environment. You will handle smaller construction projects as well as large new build, conversion and renovation projects from the initial feasibility study through project development to detailed planning and construction implementation. The focus is on architectural design, CAD and BIM planning, constructive detail development as well as coordination with specialist planners and clients. With appropriate professional experience, you will take on independent project management and contribute to the acquisition of new construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• Comprehensive architectural planning for versatile new build, conversion and renovation projects in residential, commercial and public building construction

• Project processing according to SIA phases from feasibility study and preliminary design through construction project to detailed planning and realisation

• Design and concept development including preparation of architectural studies, floor plan variants, building volumes and design solutions

• CAD and BIM-supported architectural planning with creation of floor plans, sections, facades and digital building models

• Building application and approval planning including preparation of submission documents, building law clarifications and coordination with relevant authorities

• Working and execution planning with development of precise planning documents and technically feasible construction solutions

• Constructive detail planning and materialisation with elaboration of component connections, building envelopes and architecturally high-quality execution details

• Interdisciplinary specialist planner coordination with alignment of structural planning, building services, building physics and other technical interfaces

• Cost planning and project controlling with support in cost estimates, scheduling and monitoring of project-specific quality requirements

• Tendering and awarding support with preparation of technical planning bases, material descriptions and review of contractor documents

• Independent project management with corresponding experience including leadership of internal project teams, client consulting and coordination of all project participants

• Participation in acquisition and project development with support in competitions, feasibility studies, offers and presentations for potential clients

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture degree FH or ETH or an equivalent recognised higher education qualification

• Professional experience in architectural planning and project design, ideally with practical experience in Swiss building construction

• Sound knowledge in design, building construction and detailed planning as well as handling architectural projects across several SIA phases

• Good CAD user skills in a common architectural software such as ArchiCAD, Vectorworks, AutoCAD or Revit; BIM knowledge is an advantage

• Knowledge of Swiss SIA standards and building law basics as well as experience in coordinating specialist planners and technical planning processes

• Experience in project management, client consulting or acquisition is an advantage as well as knowledge in cost planning and project organisation

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form for technical documentation, project presentations and communication with clients and authorities
