Project Manager Building Construction (m/f/d)

Role:

On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced professional for project management in building construction with a focus on construction execution, construction management, and project control. You will independently lead demanding building construction projects and coordinate all parties involved from planning to successful completion. The focus is on managing complex construction processes, contractor management, supplier negotiations, as well as cost, schedule, and quality management. The position offers a varied field of activity with high personal responsibility and the opportunity to significantly shape demanding construction projects through efficient organisation and solution-oriented leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Independent project management of demanding building construction projects with responsibility for organising, coordinating, and successfully implementing construction projects

• Management of complex construction and project processes coordinating all planning and execution processes

• Leadership and coordination of executing contractors monitoring construction services and ensuring efficient site operations

• Cost, schedule, and quality management continuously monitoring project goals and initiating appropriate measures in case of deviations

• Preparation and monitoring of construction programmes and schedules coordinating key milestones and optimising construction processes

• Conducting supplier and contractor negotiations reviewing offers and developing economical awarding solutions

• Optimising construction processes and execution workflows to increase efficiency, quality, and schedule reliability

• Coordination between clients, architects, specialist planners, and contractors to clarify technical and organisational interfaces

• On-site supervision of construction execution controlling agreed quality standards and project-specific requirements

• Leading construction and coordination meetings aligning project participants and tracking agreed measures

• Controlling contractor performance and project costs reviewing change orders, performance records, and invoices

• Supporting construction acceptance and project completion coordinating completion, defect rectification, and handover to the client

Qualifications:

• Completed further education as a federally certified building construction site manager, certified technician HF/TS building construction, or architect HTL/ETH or a comparable construction-technical qualification

• Several years of professional experience in building construction project management with sound knowledge of Swiss construction processes and execution

• Proven competence in cost, schedule, and quality management as well as experience in managing complex construction processes

• Experience in leading and coordinating contractors and project participants with confident demeanour and strong negotiation skills

• Entrepreneurial thinking and results-oriented action with economic understanding, sense of responsibility, and high initiative

• Strong leadership, resilience, and solution-oriented personality with organisational talent, teamwork skills, and enthusiasm for demanding challenges

• Very good German language skills, spoken and written for professional communication with clients, suppliers, contractors, and specialist planners
