Who we are – Working at the Youth Village
The Youth Village in Knutwil, in the canton of Lucerne, is a socio-educational institution that implements civil and criminal law measures for severely behaviourally challenged male adolescents and young adults between 14 and 25 years old.
Staff at the Youth Village accompany the young people on their path to a self-responsible life.
Our work is characterised by a positive attitude to life, appreciation, and genuine interest in the development of the young people. We work according to systemic and group-centred principles. In doing so, we promote and support the personal, social, and professional competencies of the young people.
At the Youth Village, various professional groups come together and work jointly and across departments. We live a participative leadership style characterised by mutual trust and respect, continuously further our education, and create the conditions with our expertise, experience, and structures to achieve the goals.
