Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer - Server & Storage (m/f/d)

- You design, build, operate and improve the global IT infrastructure focusing on servers, storage, SAN, virtualisation and Active Directory
- In this role, you manage physical and virtual server platforms, storage systems, SAN infrastructure and associated data centre hardware
- As a Senior System Engineer, you plan and execute hardware lifecycle activities including technology refreshes, updates, capacity planning and end-of-life renewals
- You ensure second- and third-level support for server, storage, SAN, virtualisation, Windows server and Active Directory services
- In this role, you analyse business and IT requirements and develop secure, scalable and cost-efficient infrastructure solutions
- As a Senior System Engineer, you automate recurring operational tasks with scripting and tools, especially PowerShell
Qualifications:
- You hold a bachelor’s degree, a higher technical college diploma or an equivalent qualification in computer engineering, information technology, systems engineering or a related technical field
- You have at least seven to ten years of professional experience in IT system engineering or IT operations
- You bring solid experience with enterprise server infrastructures, including physical servers, virtualisation platforms and associated management tools
- You possess very good knowledge of storage and SAN technologies as well as operation, troubleshooting, capacity planning and lifecycle management
- You are well versed in Windows Server, VMware, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and other Microsoft infrastructure services and automate recurring tasks with PowerShell
- You have a good understanding of infrastructure security as well as Microsoft Entra ID, hybrid identity concepts, conditional access and work confidently in international, distributed IT teams
