A demanding position in the field of Cyber Security Operations awaits an analytically strong personality with solid SOC experience. The role combines monitoring and analysing security events with incident response, SIEM, and the continuous improvement of detection capabilities.
We are looking for a person who quickly recognises technical contexts, assesses security incidents in a structured manner, and actively works on the further development of the security infrastructure. Depending on the situation, complex incident response, forensics, and purple team topics also belong to the scope of duties.
Responsibilities:
Analysis and handling of cyber security incidents as well as development and optimisation of sophisticated detection use cases
Evaluation of incoming security alerts, identification of false alarms, and structured prioritisation and documentation of security incidents
Use and further development of SIEM solutions for correlating logs and events and detecting suspicious activities
Support in implementing security measures as well as continuous improvement of detection rules and monitoring concepts
Identification of detection gaps and development of new approaches for monitoring and detecting cyber attacks
Participation in complex security projects, major incidents, forensic investigations, and occasional purple team activities
Qualifications:
Several years of experience in a Security Operations Centre, ideally at least 5 years, complemented by technical training or further education in cyber security
Very good knowledge of various IT technologies and infrastructures, especially Windows, Linux, network, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft Security Stack
Strong interest in ethical hacking, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing
Understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK methodology and relevant attack techniques to improve detection and security monitoring
Knowledge in threat hunting is a plus; independent, reliable, and team-oriented working style as well as an impeccable reputation
Very good German and English skills as well as willingness for regular on-call duty
