To ensure that we can guarantee the quality of our raw materials and products along the entire supply chain and always meet the regulatory requirements for the sale of our products, we are looking for reinforcement.
Qualifications and Characteristics
- Completed degree in natural sciences (at least Bachelor) or comparable qualification (in physics, chemistry, biology, materials science, or similar)
- At least 3 years of professional experience in a regulatory environment, ideally in chemical law and/or construction products regulation / product approval
- Fluent language skills in German (level C1) and English (level B2) as well as confident use of Microsoft Office, especially structured data processing
- Willingness to travel (max. 10%) for occasional visits to laboratories, certification bodies, etc.
- Strong organisational and communication skills in collaboration with external partners as well as an analytical and efficient working style combined with high initiative
- Ability to structure complex regulatory contexts and explain the impact on the company clearly
About the Job
As a specialist, you take responsibility for compliance with and implementation of legal obligations in chemical and hazardous substances law (GHS, REACH, CLP) and ensure that our products are placed on the market in regulatory compliance (CE markings). You organise and accompany product certifications in close cooperation with auditors and institutes and take care of product registration in international databases and inventories. Creating and maintaining technical documentation such as safety data sheets or declarations of conformity is also part of your duties, as is active and solution-oriented collaboration with customers, suppliers, associations, and authorities to advance and successfully implement concerns and issues in the interest of SIGA. In addition, you monitor and assess new regulatory developments, derive relevant measures, and implement them. Your daily work is made varied by projects for the digitalisation of processes and support in building and further developing our monitoring system, especially in the context of new product technologies.
