At SBB Cargo, you are at the heart of the Swiss economy and help to transport more goods in an environmentally friendly way by rail. SBB Cargo transports 185,000 tonnes daily, relieves the roads by 15,000 lorry journeys per day and saves the environment 460,000 tonnes of CO2 annually. In the construction and steel industry sector focus, you help shape the future of freight transport and contribute directly to the success of our customers.

This is what you can achieve.

• With proactive management of your portfolio, you identify additional needs and develop tailored logistics solutions on the rail network.
• You acquire new customers in the construction and steel industry and further develop the business with your existing key account portfolio to transport more goods in an environmentally friendly way by rail.
• In tender and bidding processes, you independently negotiate framework agreements, prices and services and successfully conclude contracts.
• Together with internal partners, you coordinate operational implementation and accompany new projects from idea to realisation.
• Based on analyses of traffic flows, customer needs and market trends, you derive measures for customer retention and acquisition of new customers.
• With your holistic view, you contribute to the further development of our service portfolio for construction and steel and ensure close integration with production and sales.

• You communicate clearly, reconcile different interests and achieve sustainable solutions.
• In demanding customer situations, you demonstrate negotiation skills and appropriate assertiveness.
• With analytical and strategic thinking, you recognise potential and translate it into marketable offers.
• You bring several years of experience in key account management, ideally in freight transport, logistics, construction or steel industry, and you understand rail transport such as wagonload traffic, construction site logistics and intermodal transport.
• You have completed higher education at a technical college, university of applied sciences or university in business administration, logistics or transport, or hold an equivalent qualification, and you are willing to travel within Switzerland.
• You are proficient in German at negotiation level C2 and ideally master another national language and English at level B2.
