With more than 170 collaborators, the West Lausanne Police (POL) provides quality public security services to the approximately 88,000 residents of a dynamic district, at the heart of a rapidly evolving territory.
Bringing together the municipalities of Bussigny, Chavannes-près-Renens, Crissier, Ecublens, Prilly, Renens, Saint-Sulpice and Villars-Sainte-Croix, our organisation is looking for its future Operational Chief.
Operational Chief and Member of the General Management – 100%
Directly reporting to the Police Corps Commander and a member of the General Management, you contribute to the strategic leadership of the institution and assume responsibility for the management and coordination of its operational activities.
Your responsibilities
- Ensure the direction, management and coordination of the operational activities of the Police Corps
- Actively contribute to defining the institutional strategy, objectives and priorities of the Police Corps, as well as their implementation
- Supervise and coordinate the operational divisions, ensuring the quality of services, consistency of practices and achievement of set objectives
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external partners related to operational activities
- Plan and lead specific or large-scale operational engagements, or delegate their management
- Promote a culture of feedback, sharing best practices and continuous improvement
- Manage the operational intelligence cycle, ensuring its collection, analysis and exploitation, as well as the production of indicators, dashboards and decision-support tools adapted to different governance levels

Your profile
- Federal police certificate or equivalent qualification
- ISP CAS CEP training. ISP Officer EM training is an asset
- Certified training in leadership and management is an asset
- Training or confirmed experience in crisis management is an asset
- At least 10 years of professional experience in the police field, including significant experience in command and operational management
- Proven experience in developing and implementing strategies
- Experience in leading and completing large-scale projects; additional training in this area is an asset
- Swiss nationality, clean criminal record and OP
