The Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Service (KJPD) Thurgau and the Clinic for Children and Adolescents (KKJ) provide excellent conditions for comprehensive training. Your responsibilities
In the first year, you will take on the professional and therapeutic support of patients with psychosomatic issues from a child psychiatric perspective. The patients are treated inpatient in the Clinic for Children and Adolescents under joint professional responsibility of paediatricians and child psychiatrists. Based on your advanced training in child and adolescent psychiatry, you will conduct classic diagnostics and treatments within an interdisciplinary team. In the second year, after thorough introduction, you will take on classic paediatric tasks in the KKJ and have the opportunity to become familiar with the full spectrum of a paediatric clinic including neonatology.
Your profile
You hold a completed degree in human medicine (CH; EU or EFTA state) and are in advanced specialist training in child and adolescent psychiatry. You have an interest in psychosomatics and close professional collaboration with paediatric colleagues. You are prepared in the second year to integrate into the rhythm and procedures of a children’s hospital, manage paediatric emergencies, and reactivate your somatic knowledge from medical studies. You bring commitment, flexibility, humour, and enthusiasm for working with mentally ill children and their families as well as for interdisciplinary collaboration.

The Clinic for Children and Adolescents at Münsterlingen Cantonal Hospital is recognised by the SIWF as a training centre for paediatrics category 3.

In collaboration between the Clinic for Children and Adolescents and the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Service Thurgau, we offer at the Münsterlingen Cantonal Hospital a unique opportunity for colleagues in advanced training to work inpatient in a psychosomatic context for 2 years.
