Role:

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced professional for project management in architecture with a focus on building construction, execution planning and general planning. You will independently manage demanding construction projects from the building application to completion and be responsible for their successful planning and organisational implementation. The focus is on leading draftsmen and site managers, coordinating external specialist planners, and ensuring architectural quality and efficient project execution. The position offers a variety of construction projects of different sizes and uses with high personal responsibility and the opportunity to realise demanding architectural projects in an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• Independent project management of demanding building construction projects from the building application through execution planning to completion

• Overall coordination of architectural planning and project execution with responsibility for structured and timely implementation

• Leadership and coordination of internal project teams consisting of draftsmen, site managers and other project participants

• Management and coordination of external specialist planners to ensure coordinated and technically harmonised overall planning

• Assumption of general planning tasks with coordination of different disciplines and planning interfaces

• Preparation and coordination of building application and execution documents taking into account legal and technical requirements

• Quality assurance of architectural and execution planning with review of design, structural and functional project requirements

• Coordination between architectural planning and site management to ensure professional implementation of planning bases on site

• Cost, schedule and quality management with monitoring of key project milestones and coordination of economic framework conditions

• Organisation and leadership of project and coordination meetings with clients, specialist planners and internal project teams

• Application of digital CAD and BIM planning methods to coordinate planning documents and further develop efficient project processes

• Support of construction execution until project completion with clarification of technical questions, coordination of plan adjustments and ensuring architectural project quality

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture degree from ETH or FH with solid knowledge in planning and realising demanding building construction projects

• Several years of professional experience in architectural project management with knowledge of Swiss construction processes from building application to completion

• Proven leadership skills and experience in coordinating project teams as well as collaborating with site managers and external specialist planners

• Strong architectural judgement with very good understanding of design, building construction and technical execution details

• Confident use of CAD software and digital construction administration programmes as well as experience with the BIM method is an advantage

• Independent, structured and responsible working style with leadership strength, teamwork, personal commitment and high initiative

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form for professional communication with clients, authorities, specialist planners and other project participants
