Construction Cost Planner (m/f/d)

Role:
On behalf of the client, we are seeking an experienced professional as a Construction Cost Planner for Building Construction who will further develop the cost planning area professionally and play a central role in demanding new build, conversion, and renovation projects. You will prepare rough cost estimates, cost estimates, and post-calculations, analyse construction cost key figures, and develop economically optimised project variants. At the same time, you will actively shape the calculation and cost determination processes and promote the use of digital tools in construction cost planning. The position combines operational construction cost planning and tendering with process development and close consultation with project and construction management.
Responsibilities:
Professional development and strategic establishment of construction cost planning and calculation for new build, conversion, and renovation projects
Independent preparation of rough cost estimates, cost estimates, cost proposals, and post-calculations across various project phases
Development, maintenance, and analysis of construction cost key figures and benchmark data as a basis for reliable cost forecasts
Structuring and determination of project costs according to construction cost plan BKP/eBKP as well as ongoing plausibility checks of cost development
Conducting variant, economic efficiency, and cost optimisation analyses in collaboration with project development and planning
Advising project and construction management on cost-related issues and early identification of cost drivers and project risks
Development, standardisation, and optimisation of calculation, cost controlling, and cost determination processes
Advancement and application of digital calculation and construction administration tools, especially Messerli or comparable systems
Participation in tendering, invitations to tender, and specifications as well as support with offer comparisons and award documentation
Conducting target-actual comparisons and post-calculations of completed projects to further develop internal cost key figures
Close collaboration with architects, specialist planners, construction management, contractors, and suppliers to ensure reliable cost information
Occasional support and deputising for construction management on selected building construction projects
Qualifications:
Basic technical training in construction with further education as a construction manager, certified technician HF, construction economist, or architect FH/ETH or comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience in construction cost planning, calculation, or construction management of building, conversion, and renovation projects
Sound knowledge of BKP/eBKP, construction cost key figures, cost estimation, and cost controlling
Experience in tendering, invitations to tender, and post-calculation as well as very good understanding of Swiss construction processes
Good knowledge of relevant SIA standards and Swiss building regulations
Confident use of Microsoft 365, especially Excel; experience with Messerli or comparable construction administration software is an advantage
Very good German language skills for calculation basics, reports, and technical project documentation
