Role:

Do you want to detect attacks before they cause damage? As a Cloud & Network Security Engineer, you work at the interface between operations and analysis and protect customer environments within the scope of managed security services. Your toolbox ranges from Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) to Web Application Firewalls to central log management. Your ability to see connections counts here when a clear situational picture emerges from many individual reports. At the same time, you actively help shape which security technologies will be used in the future.

Responsibilities:

• You set up security components such as EDR, XDR, and MFA solutions and keep them reliably running.

• You scrutinise incoming security events, assess them technically, and classify them correctly.

• You work closely on security incidents and implement appropriate countermeasures.

• Additionally, you maintain firewall rule sets and security policies in network and cloud environments and optimise the SIEM landscape.

• You analyse vulnerabilities from vulnerability scans and accompany projects, rollouts, and changes at customers.

• Furthermore, you evaluate new solutions in proofs of concept and keep technical documentation up to date.

Qualifications:

• You have at least 3 years of practical experience in cyber security engineering or security operations.

• A solid understanding of network, endpoint, cloud, and system security forms your foundation.

• You have already worked with Web Application Firewalls, enterprise and cloud firewalls, as well as EDR, XDR, or NDR solutions.

• Furthermore, you confidently correlate events from different log sources and keep a cool head during incidents.

• Network protocols such as TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, and HTTP/S are as familiar to you as securing Windows and Linux systems.

• In addition, you are familiar with vulnerability management and role-based access concepts and automate processes with Python or Bash.
