An experienced individual is sought as Senior OpenShift & Kubernetes Engineer for a demanding IT environment. The position offers the opportunity to actively operate, further develop and continuously optimise modern container platforms in terms of performance, stability and availability.
The focus is on Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes and RHEL in hybrid environments. The technical scope is complemented by incident and change management as well as collaboration in an agile team.
Responsibilities:
Operation, lifecycle management and further development of OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms in on-premises and cloud environments
Monitoring and optimisation of platforms including performance tuning and capacity management
Analysis and sustainable resolution of technical faults within incident and problem management
Planning and implementation of changes considering defined change processes
Processing and prioritising technical tasks and tickets in Jira in close coordination with the product owner
Active participation in agile team processes and SAFe/Scrum ceremonies such as sprints and PI planning
Qualifications:
Solid practical experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes, ideally in on-premises operation
Very good knowledge of Linux/RHEL and experience with Ansible
Experience with Oracle Forms, ADF and WebLogic Server is an advantage
Sound understanding of network, security, storage and operating systems
Practical experience with Splunk and ServiceNow as well as good knowledge of ITIL processes
Structured and independent working style as well as very good German and English skills
