Role:
Systems never run by themselves; they need someone who pays close attention. This is exactly where the position of Network & Security Operations Engineer comes in. In shift work, you keep networks, IT, and OT environments stable and intervene as soon as something goes awry. Monitoring and Security Operations grow together here, and you develop further in both fields. Those who are technically curious and remain calm under pressure fit well in this role.
Responsibilities:
You monitor telecommunications, IT, and OT systems and respond to accumulating events
You assess security-relevant alerts and handle them in the Security Operations Center (SOC)
You document disruptions as tickets, prioritise them according to urgency, and accompany them until resolution
For complex fault patterns in network and security systems, you identify causes and resolve them
This also includes coordination with field services, downstream support levels, and external partners
Additionally, you recognise recurring patterns and suggest operational optimisations
Qualifications:
You have completed a technical education or degree in computer science, network technology, or cybersecurity
You have a solid grasp of network and IT fundamentals
You are familiar with ticketing platforms and monitoring tools
Topics such as automation and AI-supported analysis tools spark your curiosity
Furthermore, you tackle problems proactively and enjoy sharing your knowledge within the team
You communicate fluently in German and English, both orally and in writing; knowledge of Italian completes your profile, and you are motivated to work in a 24/7 shift model
