Generalist IT System Engineer in the Service Environment (m/f/d)

Role:
In this role, you actively shape a modern IT system and infrastructure environment and ensure it remains stable, secure, and efficient. You take responsibility for the operation, monitoring, and continuous optimisation of servers, networks, and other central system components. You analyse and resolve faults, plan and implement changes, and ensure smooth availability of services. You are also responsible for implementing security and backup concepts, thus making a significant contribution to protecting systems and data. Through close collaboration with various stakeholders, you ensure that the IT infrastructure reliably supports the professional requirements and is future-proof.
Responsibilities:
- You plan and independently implement IT projects.
- In this role, you provide first-, second-, and third-level support for our customers.
- You administer and maintain server, Windows, and cloud system landscapes (OnPrem/Cloud).
- As an IT systems and infrastructure specialist, you manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and licence management.
- You install, configure, and deliver workstations and accompany migration projects.
- In this role, you create system documentation, quotations, and reliably implement SLA agreements.
Qualifications:
- Completed IT training in support or system technology
- Solid practical experience in operating and maintaining IT infrastructures, including server, storage, and network architectures
- Experience with virtualisation solutions such as Hyper-V and Azure as well as knowledge of Microsoft 365 platforms
- Ideally familiar with backup solutions (e.g. Acronis Cyber Backup) and firewalls (e.g. SOPHOS)
- High resilience, flexibility, and strong customer orientation with an independent, precise working style
- Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written, as well as a category B driving licence and team spirit
