System Engineer Server & Network (m/f/d)

Role:
Stable IT infrastructures arise where clean concepts meet precise implementation. It is exactly at this interface that you work as a System Engineer Server & Network, technically managing various customer environments holistically. Your focus is on Windows Server, virtualisation platforms, and well-thought-out network architectures. Additionally, you provide consultancy on an equal footing, conveying technical contexts understandably.
Responsibilities:
You analyse existing system landscapes and design tailored architectures for servers, storage, and networks.
You plan virtual infrastructures based on VMware and Hyper-V, implement them, and optimise resources as well as high availability.
Furthermore, you configure switches, VLANs, VPN connections, and firewalls from Cisco or Fortinet according to best practices.
With monitoring, patch management, and hardening measures, you ensure the performance, stability, and security of the systems.
You independently advise customers on-site or via remote access and resolve incidents in a structured manner using root cause analysis.
Additionally, you conduct customer training on infrastructure, security, and application topics.
Qualifications:
A completed IT apprenticeship or a Microsoft certification focusing on Windows Server forms your foundation.
You bring solid practical knowledge in server operation, virtualisation, and network technology, including DNS, DHCP, and routing.
Moreover, you are confident in Active Directory and automate recurring tasks with PowerShell.
You quickly recognise complex dependencies between systems and think solution-oriented in larger contexts.
You plan your assignments independently, remain flexible even with changing priorities, and coordinate closely with colleagues.
Additionally, you hold a category B driving licence for customer assignments.
