General Accountant - ASAP - Try & Hire

Founded in 2001, the Fed Finance firm specialises in temporary and permanent recruitment for accounting and finance professions.

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading group based in Geneva, a Senior Accountant at 100%, for a temporary assignment of at least 3 months, with the possibility of progression to a permanent position.

Your main duties will be as follows:

- Independently manage the general accounting for several companies within the group;
- Handle routine accounting operations and ensure the reliability of entries;
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor various accounts;
- Manage intercompany entries and reconciliations;
- Actively participate in monthly, quarterly and annual closings;
- Prepare balance sheets and elements necessary for the preparation of financial statements;
- Participate in account regularisation and clean-up tasks;
- Provide operational support for accounting work related to company mergers;
- Work on the accounting of holdings and, as needed, real estate companies;
- Collaborate closely with the Accounting Manager to ensure continuity of accounting operations.

Profile sought:

- You hold a federal diploma as a specialist in finance and accounting, a CFC commercial employee certificate supplemented by accounting training, or an equivalent qualification;
- You have proven experience in general accounting and are capable of independently managing several accounts;
- You master closing processes and balance sheet preparation;
- You are comfortable with intercompany entries and multi-company environments;
- Ideally, you have worked in a fiduciary or an environment requiring simultaneous management of several mandates;
- You are proficient with an accounting ERP, ideally Abacus, or equivalent software such as Sage;
- You have an operational understanding of English;
- You are recognised for your autonomy, rigour and ability to become operational quickly;
- You can manage a high workload, prioritise tasks and work in a demanding environment;
- You are available immediately or in the very short term.
