Welding Technician

Axepta is looking for one of its clients, a recognised player in the design and manufacture of special machines, a Welding & Cutting Test Technician to strengthen its technical team.

Position:

• Take charge of the preparation and execution of welding and cutting tests related to the manufacture of special machines.

• Prepare parts, test specimens, tools and equipment necessary for the tests, in compliance with safety and quality instructions.

• Carry out tests according to defined instructions, adjust parameters with the engineering team and accurately document test conditions.

• Perform first-level checks and measurements, record results and report deviations or unexpected behaviours.

• Contribute to the improvement of cutting, grinding and welding parameters in collaboration with engineers and automation specialists.

• Ensure the good condition, storage and first-level maintenance of equipment and tools used for tests.

• Participate in the capitalisation of results and the updating of technical documentation and parameter libraries.

Profile:

• Technical training such as ES or equivalent training in welding, mechanics or industrial manufacturing.

• Practical experience in welding and/or cutting and grinding processes in an industrial environment.

• Good manual skills, test preparation and production equipment adjustment.

• Ability to read plans, follow technical instructions and rigorously record test results.

• Practical sense, autonomy, rigour and strong interest in testing and process improvement.

• Good team spirit and ease working with welding, mechanical, automation and robotics trades.

• Knowledge of technical English is an advantage.
