About the job
Deployed across several sites, the Lavigny Institution consists of a neurological hospital with outpatient consultations on two sites, a residential department for adults with disabilities, intellectual impairments or physical issues, a specialised school, and a sector for workshops and vocational training.
The Plein Soleil site in Lausanne is a unique living and care environment in the Canton of Vaud. It offers short- or long-term accommodation, sociocultural activities, workshops, and day care for people affected by neurological diseases or brain injuries.
Do you want to put your managerial experience and expertise in support at the service of a project that truly places the person at its centre? Are you eager to evolve practices, work with committed professionals, and develop support that goes beyond the institution’s walls?
Join Plein Soleil as:
Head of the Sociocultural Sector
At the heart of life at Plein Soleil, the sociocultural sector plays an essential role: enabling each person to remain an active participant in their life, to make choices, maintain connections, develop abilities, and find their place in the community.
A member of the management team and reporting directly to the Director, you ensure the strategic, organisational, and managerial leadership of the sociocultural sector.
You are responsible for the Plein Soleil sociocultural support model, its coherence, and its development. In this capacity, your responsibilities will notably include:
- Setting the direction by evolving the support offer around self-determination, quality of life, social participation, and openness to the outside world;
- Growing the teams by developing management based on trust, clear frameworks, feedback, and accountability;
- Developing interdisciplinarity by working closely with nursing, medical, therapy, and other professionals around the resident’s life project;
- Opening Plein Soleil by strengthening links with relatives and external partners;
- Supporting change by leading projects, evolving practices, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the organisation;
We are looking for someone who combines expertise in support, managerial experience, and the ability to take a broad perspective, while being capable of turning a vision into concrete actions.
You have:
- a higher education qualification in social work, socio-educational fields, health, management, or equivalent;
- proven experience in team management;
- experience in the medico-social sector and/or supporting people with disabilities;
- experience in project management or change support.
Knowledge of neuro-disability is a significant asset.
You are comfortable in interdisciplinary environments, able to facilitate dialogue between different professional cultures, and combine listening, decision-making ability, and a managerial stance.
What we offer you
- A role with strong impact within a specialised and committed institution, in an environment where care, therapies, support, and social life meet daily.
- A managerial position that allows you to participate in Plein Soleil’s orientations and contribute concretely to the evolution of its support model, for the benefit of the people cared for.
- And above all, the opportunity to join professionals who are passionate about making Plein Soleil a place of life, relationships, and possibilities.
