Role:
A strong cloud platform is created through clear architecture and consistent automation. As a Senior Azure Platform Engineer, you shape exactly that for a business-critical Microsoft Azure environment. Your technical fundamental decisions set standards that others follow. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is your most important tool. In complex situations, you keep an overview and find viable solutions.
Responsibilities:
With Azure Landing Zones, you create a solid foundation for governance, management, and security.
You design scalable and highly available architectures for compute, storage, networking, and central platform services.
You automate provisioning and configuration with Bicep, Terraform, and PowerShell and establish standardised deployment processes.
Furthermore, you develop monitoring and alerting concepts based on Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
You plan backup and disaster recovery architectures and optimise Azure Virtual Desktop as well as Windows 365.
Additionally, you take technical leadership in difficult incidents and test new Microsoft cloud technologies in proof of concepts.
Qualifications:
Many years of experience in cloud engineering and Microsoft infrastructures distinguish you.
You are confident with virtual networks, private endpoints, DNS, VPN, and firewall concepts.
You have in-depth knowledge of identity topics around Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, and enterprise applications.
You also bring solid know-how in cloud governance, subscription structures, and security standards.
Additionally, you have very good knowledge of Windows Server, hybrid infrastructures, and Microsoft 365.
You also recognise interrelations across all layers and derive well-founded architectural decisions from them.
