Les Transports Publics Neuchâtelois SA (transN) originate from the successive mergers of companies in the canton of Neuchâtel. Specialising in the operation of a network of rail and road public transport, both urban and regional, we carry 27.5 million passengers per year on 38 lines and 293 km of network.

Purpose of the role
- Responsibility for the entire data flow (mainly concerning passenger information but also video surveillance and passenger counting) and the interface with other companies, such as BERNMOBIL, SKI and SBB.
- On-site fault support, mainly but not exclusively concerning passenger information systems
- Support function in financial monitoring and overall project planning
- Execution of specific missions in the form of projects within the technical department
- Eventually: commercial negotiation with suppliers of passenger information systems
- Eventually: construction of the architecture of a new set of databases to collect, in a coherent and synchronised system, information concerning passenger information and energy consumption of future electric buses
Tasks and responsibilities description
- Take over the development project of the TMS (Train Management System) railway system at transN
- Creation and updating of guidelines and procedures to organise knowledge in a simple and rational system
- Ability to act (diagnose and correct) on the 24V system onboard the vehicles
- Participate in specialised SKI sessions for legal monitoring - Develop strategies to improve data flow (mainly passenger information) between the different parties
- Technological watch of passenger information systems, with participation in conferences in Switzerland and Europe
Education / Technical skills
- Tertiary education (ES, HES, UNI, EPF) in technical fields, particularly in industrial systems (Systems Engineering) or automation
- Skills in project management, planning and reporting
- Holder of training or basic experience in passenger information in public transport
- Ability to complete change management
- Strong sense of responsibility and proactivity to anticipate problems
- Holder of a category B driving licence
- Category D driving licence is a plus
- Knowledge of French and English. Knowledge of German is a plus.
