Application Engineer

Mandated by a rapidly growing player specialising in mechanical characterisation, for a 6-month assignment with potential for a permanent position.

Job title: Application Engineer / Technical Support Expert

Context: You will join a cutting-edge company operating in the very dynamic sector of mechanical testing.

Your main tasks:

• Provide expert technical support to sales and after-sales teams, acting as the true reference on methodologies, settings and analysis protocols of various instruments.

• Advise and guide users in the optimal use of hardware solutions and proprietary software programmes.

• Take charge of conducting qualitative tests in the laboratory for prospective buyers.

• Draw on your strong scientific background to lead training sessions for sales teams and clients.

• Actively participate in writing technical documentation and application notes.

Profile sought:

• You hold a Bac+5 level degree (engineering school or university Master) specialising in materials science or a closely related scientific discipline.

• You have operational knowledge of mechanical testing. Specific skills in nanoindentation, atomic force microscopy (AFM) or tribology will be a definite asset for your application.

• In the context of your regular interactions, you possess excellent communication skills in French and English. Partial proficiency in German will also be valued.
