Role:
On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced professional for project management in civil engineering, infrastructure construction and engineering construction. You will independently plan, coordinate and manage diverse civil engineering projects from project development to construction realisation. The focus is on cost, schedule and quality management, technical project planning as well as the development of economical and innovative solutions in close cooperation with interdisciplinary project teams. The position offers a varied field of activity with high personal responsibility, direct customer contact and active involvement in acquiring new projects.
Responsibilities:
Independent project management in civil engineering with responsibility for planning, organisation and realisation of demanding infrastructure and engineering construction projects
Project execution across all relevant planning and implementation phases from feasibility study and preliminary planning to construction execution and project handover
Cost, schedule and quality management including monitoring of project budgets, control of key milestones and ensuring agreed quality standards
Technical project planning of civil engineering projects with development of practical, economical and sustainable engineering solutions
Coordination of interdisciplinary project teams with alignment between civil engineers, designers, specialist planners and other project participants
Development and evaluation of project variants considering technical requirements, economic efficiency, feasibility and long-term usability quality
Preparation and review of technical project documents including planning documentation, project descriptions, cost estimates and decision-making bases
Tendering and awarding management with involvement in specifications, offer evaluations and selection of suitable contractors
Technical support during construction execution with verification of project specifications, coordination of technical issues and support of site management
Communication with clients, authorities and external partners including leading project meetings, clarifying interfaces and coordinating project-relevant decisions
Application and compliance with Swiss SIA standards and technical guidelines to ensure norm-compliant planning and project realisation
Support in project acquisition and customer care with preparation of technical offer bases, maintenance of existing customer relationships and involvement in developing new contracts
Qualifications:
Completed studies as a civil engineer ETH or FH, training as a technician HF or TS or a comparable construction-technical qualification
Several years of professional experience in Swiss civil engineering with sound knowledge in project planning, project coordination or management of infrastructure projects
Very good knowledge of Swiss SIA standards and technical regulations as well as understanding of construction law and project-specific requirements
Proven competence in project management with experience in cost planning, schedule control, quality assurance and technical coordination
Entrepreneurial thinking and strong customer orientation with interest in economical project solutions, customer care and project acquisition
Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style with organisational skills, teamwork, communication strength and negotiation competence
Fluent German language skills in spoken and written form for professional collaboration with clients, authorities, contractors and project partners
