Lead System Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
As a Lead System Engineer, you are responsible for the stable operation and continuous development of modern enterprise infrastructures. You manage complex virtualisation, server, and compute environments, optimise existing IT services, and actively contribute new solutions in the areas of automation, security, and performance.
Responsibilities:
Operation, administration, and further development of VMware vSphere / ESXi, Windows Server, and modern enterprise infrastructures.
Support and optimisation of Cisco UCS or comparable compute platforms as well as ensuring high system availability.
Analysis and resolution of complex 2nd- and 3rd-level incidents including sustainable fault rectification.
Implementation of automation, performance, and security optimisations as well as participation in international IT projects.
Use and further development of ServiceNow, Jira, and SharePoint for operations, documentation, and collaboration.
Qualifications:
Several years of experience as a System Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or in a comparable enterprise IT role.
Very good knowledge of VMware vSphere / ESXi, Windows Server, and modern infrastructure technologies.
Experience with Cisco UCS, ServiceNow, Jira, as well as structured ITIL-based operational processes.
Strong affinity for automation, scripting, and continuous improvement of IT services.
Very good German language skills and good English language skills.
