Network & Cloud Engineer (m/f/d)
Role:
You don’t just want to manage networks, but actively shape modern infrastructure? This position combines classic network engineering with cloud connectivity, security, automation, and the technical development of a cross-site infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Design and further development of modern enterprise networks
Ensuring a highly available LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructure
Development of scalable network architectures for distributed sites
Automation of recurring network processes and configurations
Administration of firewalls, routing components, switches, and wireless infrastructure
Design of secure VPN and remote access solutions
Building intelligent segmentation models for IT, OT, and production networks
Integration of cloud platforms and local data centre environments
Participation in cloud migrations and hybrid infrastructure projects
Planning and implementation of SD-WAN and network modernisations
Introduction of modern monitoring, alerting, and observability concepts
Investigation of performance and availability issues down to the technical cause
Development of standards for network security, access control, and infrastructure hardening
Management of technical interfaces with providers, partners, and technology vendors
Support in infrastructure projects and taking on technical partial responsibility
Qualifications:
Solid professional experience in network engineering, system engineering, or a comparable infrastructure role
Good knowledge of modern network architectures and TCP/IP
Experience with routing, switching, VLAN, WLAN, DNS, and DHCP
Practical experience with firewalling, VPN, and network security
Understanding of hybrid cloud infrastructures and Azure networking
Ideally experience with SD-WAN, network automation, or infrastructure as code
Interest in IT/OT convergence and secure production networks
Experience with monitoring, logging, or observability platforms
Analytical skills for complex faults and performance issues
Structured working style and high personal responsibility
Willingness to technically rethink existing network landscapes
