Your Responsibilities
- You are the central contact person (SPOC) for all analytical work packages in development and production projects for the manufacture of APIs and excipients, ensuring their timely, quality-compliant, and budget-compliant implementation for our customers.
- You are responsible for and lead all analytical activities, such as method development, validation, and troubleshooting, across all project phases (early to late stage). You contribute your expertise at the API site in Liestal, especially in the areas of peptides, lipids, and small molecules.
- You plan, coordinate, and prioritise the analytical work packages in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- You monitor project progress, report regularly to stakeholders, and initiate appropriate measures for complex analytical issues.
- You take on the professional responsibility for the analytical project team, e.g. analytical experts and analytical scientists, in a matrix organisation.
- Responsibility for the analytical contribution within project evaluations.
- Creation, revision, and review of GMP-relevant project documents (plans, reports, methods).
- You create and review SOPs within your area of responsibility and ensure their professional currency and regulatory compliance.
- You ensure that analytical SOPs and processes always comply with current regulatory requirements.
- You drive the further development of analytical processes, documentation, and tools and support the establishment of modern methodological and procedural standards in analytics.
- You coach APL colleagues, support recruitment and onboarding of new employees, and promote the further development of analytical competencies within the team.
Your Profile
- Completed studies in analytical chemistry, pharmacy, or a comparable scientific field
- Several years of experience in analytical project management across multiple development phases (early to late stage), ideally with customer contact
- Sound knowledge of instrumental analytics (e.g. HPLC, GC, MS) as well as experience with peptides, lipids, small molecules is advantageous
- Confident handling of cGMP and regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in dealing with complex analytical issues
- Independent, structured, and customer-oriented working style as well as high reliability and team spirit
- Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken.
