Senior Engineer VMware & Windows (m/f/d)

Role:
This role suits people who identify with their work. You come with solutions, not problem descriptions. You manage virtualisation platforms and enterprise infrastructure at a high level. You question processes and proactively bring in improvements. In an international environment, you work closely with the global IT organisation.
Responsibilities:
You are responsible for the operation and further development of the virtualisation and server infrastructure
You independently identify optimisation potentials and implement them
You view systems in the overall context rather than in silos or individual tickets
You consistently automate recurring tasks
You work in a structured and agile manner in close coordination with global IT
Additionally, you participate in the 24/7 on-call service and actively share your knowledge within the team
Qualifications:
You have solid practical experience in VMware vSphere and ESXi
You are well acquainted with enterprise compute hardware and Windows server environments
You confidently use ticket, project, and documentation tools in daily work
You want to automate repetitive tasks rather than perform them manually
You bring ITIL knowledge and work confidently in regulated environments with audit requirements
You communicate fluently in English; German eases everyday life; VDI, storage, or monitoring experience is a bonus
