Construction Manager (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF100,000 - 105,000Role:
On behalf of a client, we are looking for a qualified specialist for the construction management of demanding civil engineering and infrastructure projects in the implementation phase. The focus is on projects in road construction, utility line construction, urban drainage and water supply. You will accompany the projects from tendering through execution and cost control to acceptance and commissioning and support the responsible project managers. The role offers a varied range of tasks in an established Swiss engineering and planning environment.
Responsibilities:
Independent construction management and supervision of civil engineering projects in the implementation and commissioning phase
Management of projects in the areas of road construction, utility line construction, urban drainage and water supply
Support of project management during the tendering and awarding phase including checking and comparing contractor offers
Preparation and processing of tender documents and specifications according to Swiss standards
Coordination of construction companies, utility owners, specialist planners, authorities and other project participants
Leading construction meetings as well as managing minutes, pending issues and execution controls
Monitoring of quality, costs, deadlines and construction progress as well as control of contract-compliant and plan-compliant execution
Carrying out measurement and invoice controls as well as checking of claims and extra work
Control of compliance with relevant SIA standards, VSS standards and technical execution requirements
Accompanying acceptances, commissioning and handovers as well as coordinating defect rectification
Ensuring complete construction, acceptance and revision documentation for project completion
Qualifications:
Advanced technical education as certified technician HF construction planning/civil engineering, site manager or construction manager or equivalent qualification
Professional experience in construction management or site management of civil engineering and infrastructure projects
Expertise in road construction, utility line construction, urban drainage and/or water supply
Experience with tendering, measurement, cost control, claims management and construction accounting
Good knowledge of relevant Swiss SIA and VSS standards as well as the Swiss construction industry
Confident handling of digital construction administration and office applications
Very good German language skills, spoken and written
