Role:
Good platforms go unnoticed in everyday life because they simply work. This is exactly the standard you pursue as a Senior Container & CI/CD Engineer in an on-premise environment around OpenShift and modern container technologies. You consistently reduce complexity and align every decision with real benefits for software development. With your expertise, you significantly shape the technical direction of the delivery landscape.
Responsibilities:
You are responsible for the operation and expansion of central platform components, including monitoring, container registry, and the container platform itself
You design standardised processes for build, test, and release, keep them lean, and continuously develop them further
Additionally, you drive the modernisation of the existing toolchain around TeamCity and IIS with due consideration
You detect disruptions early, resolve them confidently, and thus ensure stability and performance
You support development teams in containerising, deploying, and operating their applications and work closely with architecture and IT security
Furthermore, you enforce governance, compliance, and security requirements in deployment, evaluate new technologies, and document best practices comprehensibly
Qualifications:
You have a completed degree in computer science or engineering at bachelor level or a comparable qualification
You bring several years of experience as a DevOps professional or in a related role in the software environment
You work confidently with Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift, and skilfully manage and harden container registries such as Harbor
Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) are your domain, preferably with ArgoCD, TeamCity, or Tekton, and you naturally use Git
Additionally, you have practical experience with observability tools such as the ELK stack or Sentry, and experience with C# or React is a plus
You also impress with analytical acumen, security-conscious behaviour, and clear communication, bring agile practice, and negotiate technical topics fluently in both German and English
