Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced professional as Senior Project Manager / Expert in Mobility & Traffic Planning for demanding interdisciplinary planning and consulting projects. You will develop mobility and traffic strategies, operational and design concepts as well as traffic planning decision bases and link these with issues from spatial development and sustainability. In addition to professional project management, you will advise public administrations, companies and other stakeholders in developing future-proof transport systems and sustainable mobility solutions. Furthermore, you will take on professional leadership responsibilities and support employees with complex project tasks.
Responsibilities:
Management of complex and interdisciplinary mobility and traffic planning projects from task definition to decision basis
Development of mobility strategies, overall traffic concepts and traffic planning for municipalities, cantons, sites and companies
Preparation of operational and design concepts (BGK) for road spaces, squares, corridors and traffic nodes
Analysis and evaluation of traffic systems, traffic networks and mobility offers as well as derivation of appropriate measures
Development of integrated solutions for public transport, motorised individual traffic as well as pedestrian and bicycle traffic
Handling projects at the interfaces between spatial development, traffic planning, settlement development and sustainability
Preparation of traffic reports, feasibility studies, variant assessments and strategic planning bases
Consulting municipalities, cantons, public administrations, companies and institutional clients on traffic strategic issues
Leading and moderating workshops, participation procedures and specialist events with various stakeholder groups
Professional leadership and support of project teams and junior professionals within mobility and traffic planning
Ensuring project quality, deadlines, budgets and resources as well as professional control of project results
Monitoring current developments in sustainable mobility, multimodal traffic planning, mobility management and decarbonisation of transport
Qualifications:
Completed studies in traffic planning, mobility, spatial planning, civil engineering or geography FH/ETH/university or equivalent qualification
Several years of solid professional experience in mobility and traffic planning, ideally in the Swiss planning environment
Proven experience in leading complex and interdisciplinary traffic projects
Sound knowledge of overall traffic planning, mobility strategies, BGK as well as sustainable and multimodal mobility
Experience in collaborating with municipalities, cantons, authorities and other institutional clients
Knowledge of relevant VSS standards as well as Swiss spatial and traffic planning processes
Very good German skills spoken and written; other languages are an advantage
