Lab Technician Technical Operations
Bachem is a world leader in the development and manufacture of peptides and oligonucleotides for the pharmaceutical industry. To strengthen our Technical Operations team in Vionnaz (Valais, Switzerland), we are looking for a Lab Technician Technical Operation (all) at 100% who is motivated and passionate about laboratory work and chemical process development.
Your responsibilities
Within the Tech Ops department, you actively participate in the development and optimisation of synthesis processes and contribute to the transfer of processes to operations.
Your main tasks are as follows:
- Carry out the development and optimisation of synthesis processes.
- Participate in the development of analytical methods.
- Perform separations and purifications using chromatographic equipment.
- Write reports and monitor laboratory tests.
- Participate in the transfer of processes to operational teams.
- Provide technical support to Pilot, Production, and Quality Control teams when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturing and storage instructions to guarantee product quality.
- Contribute to the maintenance of equipment and the smooth running of the laboratory.
- Participate in the training of apprentices.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP requirements, as well as safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Manage orders for laboratory equipment and consumables and liaise with suppliers.
Your profile
- Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as a chemical laboratory technician or equivalent training.
- Several years of experience in a chemical or pharmaceutical laboratory environment.
- Good knowledge of GMP and/or GLP standards.
- Practical experience in chemical synthesis and chromatographic techniques.
- Good knowledge of common IT tools.
- Knowledge of SAP and/or LIMS systems is an advantage.
- Fluency in French, both spoken and written; English is an advantage.
- Team spirit, rigour, autonomy, and quality orientation.
