IT Solutions Architect

The team responsible for the architecture of platforms and development streams carries the designs related to bespoke solutions, to ensure the organisation's technological independence, optimise its development capabilities, promote open source, and standardise software engineering practices. The team is looking to strengthen itself with a transversal, multi-domain IT architect.

The architect holds a clear and structured vision of a modular and scalable architecture adapted to bespoke development projects. He/she ensures overall technical coherence by ensuring the independence and reusability of components, to improve maintainability and effectively anticipate technological obsolescence.

Education

• University Master’s degree in computer science, EPF / HES engineering diploma or equivalent

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Key Skills

• Mastery of "3-tier" solution architectures.

• In-depth knowledge of service-oriented architectures, interoperability standards, and API Management solutions.

• Good command of authentication protocols and mechanisms.

• Proven experience in modular architecture, microservices, containerisation (OpenShift), and practice of hexagonal models, DDD, Clean Architecture.

• Mastery of Web Components standards for developing modular, reusable, and maintainable interfaces.

• Mastery of DevOps tools and continuous integration and deployment practices (CI/CD).

• Good knowledge of middlewares (application server, BPM, rule engines) and issues related to Web environments (security, performance, high availability, scalability).

• Demonstrated sensitivity to user experience issues and software quality.

• Ability to support teams and structure technological streams within a transversal governance logic.

• Ability to design architectures oriented towards resilience, fault tolerance, observability, and distributed monitoring.

• Expertise in risk identification and development of mitigation plans, notably within the framework of full digitisation projects of business processes.

Important Skills

• Experience in modelling (Archimate, Orbus iServer, UML2, BPMN), analysis, TOGAF methodology; knowledge of ITIL.

• Experience implementing good application security practices.

• Practice of event-driven architectures.

• Technical supervision of internal and external teams.

• Expertise in identifying, understanding, and expressing business needs associated with problem solving or delivering business solutions, proven by professional experience.

• Understanding of user experience issues (ergonomics, mobile use).

• Experience with Java.

• Expertise in interoperability protocols (especially SOAP, REST, JMS).

• Mastery of authorisation and authentication protocols (OAuth2 / OIDC, SAMLv2, Kerberos).

• Ability to evaluate solutions and their costing.

Main Activities

• Carry a modular and scalable vision of architecture within bespoke development.

• Promote component independence to strengthen maintainability.

• Implement an anticipation strategy and facilitate handling of obsolescence.

• Ensure alignment of architectures with IT strategy and business needs.

• Define modular and reusable architecture models (components, services, APIs).

• Identify, structure, document, disseminate, and industrialise good design practices within bespoke development streams.

• Support project teams in design and technical choices to ensure coherence and overall convergence.

• Contribute to operational support (investigations) and handling business requests, including analysis and costing of solutions.

• Structure, capitalise, animate, and disseminate a transversal architecture repository.

• Participate in technological streams in close collaboration with Infrastructure and Operations teams to guarantee relevance, technical coherence, and operability of solutions.
