IT Application Management Specialist Senior, Location Zurich-Oerlikon

Tasks

• You ensure the stable and secure operation of complex applications and accompany their technical further development throughout the entire lifecycle.
• You actively contribute your experience to the team, support colleagues with demanding issues and promote a uniform approach in application management through knowledge transfer, joint troubleshooting and practical standards.
• You plan and coordinate releases, maintenance and lifecycle measures, identify technical risks and dependencies early and initiate appropriate measures.
• You analyse complex faults and recurring problems, conduct root cause analyses and coordinate sustainable solutions with internal departments, the OIZ (Organisation and IT of the City of Zurich) and external suppliers.
• You further develop application management together with the team and improve processes, technical documentation, standards, knowledge management and automation.

Profile

• Several years of experience in application management as well as sound knowledge in application lifecycle management, 2nd level support, problem management, release management and collaboration with external suppliers
• Strong ability to structure complex technical contexts, establish standards and procedures, and convey professional and methodological knowledge clearly and practically within the team
• Very good analysis and troubleshooting skills as well as good knowledge of ITSM tools, CMDB structures, release processes and the structured handling of technical faults and problems
• Completed bachelor’s degree or equivalent education as well as ITIL 4 specialist certification and advanced training in at least one ITIL practice; further IT-specific training is an advantage
• Initiative, networked and solution-oriented thinking as well as a pronounced team and cooperation ability with the willingness to share knowledge and actively drive joint solutions forward
