Role:
A global network landscape places high demands on security, availability, and scalability. In this role, you take responsibility for central network security services and further develop them technically. You combine deep engineering know-how with architectural understanding and work closely with internal stakeholders in an international environment.
Responsibilities:
You design, implement, and operate global network security infrastructures to protect against cybersecurity threats.
You administer and optimise Palo Alto firewalls, VPN solutions, network segmentation, and secure connectivity services.
You take on demanding tasks in 2nd and 3rd level support and analyse complex faults.
You gather requirements from internal customers and develop secure and scalable network security solutions from them.
You ensure that global architecture, configuration, and security standards are adhered to.
You analyse existing environments regarding performance, stability, and security and initiate targeted improvements.
You take responsibility in network security projects and accompany infrastructure and service lifecycles.
You work on cloud connectivity and security architecture and continuously develop existing solutions.
You support the monitoring of the security infrastructure and perform targeted troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
You have a bachelor's or higher vocational qualification in computer engineering, computer science, information technology, or a comparable technical field, or an equivalent technical education.
You bring at least 7 years of experience in enterprise network engineering and/or network security engineering.
You have comprehensive knowledge of Palo Alto, VPN, IPSec, and network segmentation.
You are very familiar with modern network security technologies such as IDPS, NAC, cloud network security, and wireless security.
You have practical experience with Cisco and Huawei LAN/WLAN components.
You understand complex ISP and data centre environments with routing, switching, MPLS, BGP, and load balancing.
You have in-depth knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and IP-based infrastructure services.
You have experience with the architecture, implementation, and further development of complex network security solutions.
You bring extensive practical experience in security monitoring and troubleshooting.
You analyse complex technical situations in a structured manner and independently develop viable solutions.
You operate confidently in an international environment and communicate appropriately with different stakeholders.
You communicate fluently in German and very well in English, both orally and in writing.
