Architect 80-100%

The Early Childhood Service (SDPE) is responsible for implementing the early childhood policy of the City of Geneva by managing municipal childcare facilities and supporting the childcare facilities it subsidises. In a context of growth in our activities, we are strengthening the staff of the technical unit and are looking for an architect at 80 – 100% for a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Your mission and responsibilities

You manage and ensure the completion of projects for the creation, extension, renovation, redevelopment or routine maintenance of early childhood care facilities subsidised by the City of Geneva (SAPE), in buildings not owned by the City of Geneva, with or without contractors, and in collaboration with the SAPE management.

You are responsible for routine maintenance operations of SAPE in buildings owned by the City of Geneva, in collaboration with the SAPE management and under the aegis of the Built Heritage Directorate (DPBA).

You participate in the study and implementation of SAPE creation projects within the framework of partnerships with other organisations, in collaboration with their representatives as well as in buildings owned by the City of Geneva, under the aegis of the DPBA.

You also handle acquisitions of furniture and equipment necessary for the proper operation of SAPE. The administrative follow-up of works and acquisitions (furniture, equipment, supplies) necessary for all SAPE within the scope of their preschool care activities is your responsibility.

Your profile

Holder of an architect diploma, university, HES or equivalent qualification

Proven experience of at least 5 years in Switzerland as an architect

Excellent command of French, both written and spoken

Excellent command of common office software tools

Residence in the canton of Geneva or in the authorised residence zone
